-(으)ㄹ 만하다Worth doing… / Good enough to…
-(으)ㄹ 만하다 has two everyday meanings. Recommending: 볼 만해요 (it’s worth seeing). Judging: 먹을 만해요 (it’s not bad / okay to eat), 참을 만해요 (it’s bearable). Context and tone tell you which one you mean.

Think in Korean · an English-speaker’s guide
- English “worth + -ing” (worth seeing) matches the recommending use. The judging use is closer to “not bad / it’s okay / manageable.”
- Tone matters: 먹을 만해요 said brightly = “pretty good”; said hesitantly = “it’s edible, I guess.”
- 믿을 만하다 is a set expression: trustworthy, reliable (믿을 만한 사람).
