Hyeju Language Lab (hyejulanguagelab.com) is run by Hyeju Yoo, a Korean language teacher based in Seoul, Korea. This page explains what information is collected when you use this site, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information I collect

Comments: If you leave a comment, the name, email address, website (optional), and comment you enter are stored, along with your IP address and browser information to help detect spam.
Lesson inquiries: If you contact me by email or Instagram about lessons, I receive the information you choose to share (for example, your name, Korean level, goals, and preferred schedule).
Past lesson records: For any lessons previously taken, I may retain necessary records such as your name, contact details, lesson schedule, and payment confirmation.
Technical information: Like most websites, the web server automatically records basic access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and maintenance.

Cookies and advertising

Google AdSense may be used on this site after the required approval and setup. If Google ads are displayed, Google and other third-party advertising partners may place and read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Advertising cookies may be used to personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where required, consent will be requested before the relevant advertising technologies are used.

Embedded content and third-party services

YouTube: Lesson videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may collect data according to its own privacy policy.
Self-hosted fonts: Fonts are served from this site, without a separate request to Google Fonts.
Akismet: Comments are checked by Akismet (Automattic) to filter spam.
Social links: Links to Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

The pronunciation (🔊 Listen) buttons and learning games run inside your own browser. Audio is created by your device’s speech feature, and your answers are not sent to me.

The site stores your previously selected explanation language in your browser’s local storage. The redesigned pages use separate English and Japanese URLs and do not write a new language preference. You can remove this preference by clearing this site’s browser data.

How I use information

I use information only to reply to you, run and manage lessons, prevent spam, keep the site secure, and improve the learning materials. I do not sell your personal information.

How long information is kept

Comments are kept until you ask for them to be removed. Lesson records are kept only as long as needed for lessons, payment, and legal obligations, and are then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you at any time. Please email me, and I will reply as soon as I can.

Children

This site is intended for learners aged 14 and over. If you are under 14, please use the site with a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.

レッスンのお問い合わせ：メールやInstagramでお送りいただいた情報（お名前、韓国語のレベル、目標、希望の時間帯など）を受け取ります。
過去のレッスン記録：受講される場合、お名前・連絡先・レッスン日程・お支払いの確認などの基本的な記録を保管します。
技術的な情報：一般的なウェブサイトと同様に、セキュリティと運営のため、サーバーがアクセスログ（IPアドレス、ブラウザの種類、閲覧ページなど）を自動的に記録します。

Cookieと広告
