🌿 Hyeju’s Note · Action Verb vs. Adjective

Action verbs tell us what someone does: 저는 친구를 만납니다. (I meet a friend.) Adjectives describe a state or quality: 저는 바쁩니다. (I am busy.)

When you learn Grammar Lesson 05, notice how both groups use -아/어요: 만나다 → 만나요; 피곤하다 → 피곤해요. Some words have special forms, such as 걷다 → 걸어요 and 어렵다 → 어려워요. You will learn those patterns separately.
